Tips to Organize
Watch the video from GCF Learning to learn how find and preview files in your drive, sort and filter files and create folders.
1. Color Code your Folders
Right-click your folder of choice and select the option "Change Color." This way you can easily find the class folder you are looking for. Also Rename your folders to begin with a number. The most used folder should begin with 1 Math, 2 Social Studies, 3 ELA. This will keep those folders at the top.
2. Get a Naming Strategy
When naming your Google Docs, Slides, Sheets and Drawings, use a system to easily find your files later. You may begin every file with an abbreviation for a class - SS for Social Studies, M for Math, That way you can search for SS and find all of your SS documents. Maybe use the class period first, that way if you want to find all of your Social Studies files (1), search for 1.
